Robyn Fetter (RP - Qualifying)
Student Counselling Intern in Guelph, ON
About Robyn
Hi, my name is Robyn (she/her) and I am a new Psychotherapy intern at Counselling Tides. I am working on completing my Masters of Arts Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and I am looking forward to continuing to learn and grow in my Psychotherapy practice.
My education background includes completing my degree in Social Services Worker at Humber College and an undergraduate in Psychology with a diploma in General Arts and Sciences and specialization certificate in Research Skills and Analysis at Guelph-Humber. Throughout my educational journey, I have had the privilege of working in developmental services, with human trafficking survivors and survivors of sexual assault through direct counselling, group facilitation, crisis intervention and advocacy, in safe houses and group homes. It has provided me with a well-rounded perspective and respect for the unique experiences and needs of individuals, and the importance of acknowledging and incorporating these differences into how I work with clients.
Within my practice, I hope to create a grounding and comfortable experience for clients to feel free to be themselves and share their experiences to help facilitate healing and wellness. I come from a space of openness and non-judgement centred in client focused care, and a holistic approach to working with clients in a way that is best for their learning, healing and growth. My interests include working with those who would like to address trauma, neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, and working with couples/family dynamics.
When I am not at school or working, I am spending time with my kids, reading, going to markets, or pretending to have a green thumb and desperately trying to keep my plants alive.
